The Journey of Intimacy: Insights from Our First Adamo Study!🤓
The Adamo Method, a synthesis of science, love, and the art of connection, helps those yearning to transcend the ordinary in their relationships. Hear from our participants, whose lives have been touched by the program:

Neuroscience of Love and Lovemaking🧠💕

Soulful Explorations: A Journey Inward 💫
If you’re not familiar, Sadhguru is a renowned spiritual leader and the founder of the non-profit Isha Foundation and just overall an amazing and realized human being. I highly recommend checking out his app and programs, you will not regret it!
My transformative journey began with Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering online course in November 2023, followed by the Shambhavi Mahamudra initiation in December, leading to daily (almost) practice until I began Hatha Yoga training shortly after Christmas.
Then, in February 2024, I ventured into two profound programs at the Isha Institute of Sciences in Tennessee: Bhava Spandana (a complete overhaul of emotional energy) and Shoonya (a meditative course on emptiness and surrender). These experiences completely blew my mind.
I want to share with you what I learned and how I embarked on this spiritual path so if you want to do this yourself you know the order of what you have to do to make the kind of progress I have made.
Detailed Pathway of Transformation:
Overview: Sadhguru’s approach to mastering life energy
Step 1: Inner Engineering + 40 days of Shambhavi Mahamudra
Shambhavi Mahamudra Initiation follows Inner Engineering course – The important thing about the Shambhavi Mahamudra is that it is a tool to touch the source of creation, which is beyond prana.
I do this at least once a day.
Step 2: Hatha Yoga
During my Hatha Yoga training, I embraced the Bhuta Shuddhi ritual, a daily aura cleansing ritual that I do at sunrise and sunset (if I’m home). It helps purify your mind and body using the 5 elements and prepares the system to handle powerful states of energy.
Sadhguru talks of three processes to align with the sun, the most profound being Surya Kriya:
“If you want to just use this system as a physical culture to become physically strong, you do Surya Shakti.” This process I learned at the Shoonya retreat.
“If you want to be physically fit, you want to have aerobic exercise and you want your heart strong, but you also want to have a spiritual element in it, you do Surya Namaskar.” This process I learned at the Shoonya retreat.
“If you want a strong spiritual process in the physical process that you are doing, then you do Surya Kriya, which helps develop mental clarity and focus, remedies weak constitutions, boosts vigor and vitality, balances hormonal levels in the body, prepares one for deeper states of meditation. Surya Kriya enables you to move towards a space within yourself and around yourself where circumstances are not in any way intrusive or obstructing the process of life.” This practice I learned in Hatha Training.
The practice of yogasanas develops strength and flexibility, while soothing your nerves and calming your mind.
I learned this during the Hatha Yoga Training.
Angamardana, a fitness system rooted in yoga, offers everyone the opportunity to invigorate the body and reach peak physical and mental health.
I haven’t done this yet! But, I plan on it this year.
Step 3: Shoonya Meditation Training
Surya Shatki is an active form of the Sun Salutation. It is an ancient yogic practice which is a powerful sequence of 18 postures. It is designed as a holistic process for great physical fitness. “Surya” means “Sun,” and “Shakti” means “energy”. Surya Shakti cultivates great physical fitness and strength.
Shakti Chalana Kriya is a set of powerful, purifying practices to enhance the flow of your vital energy and offers the possibility of bringing your system to a state of optimal health, balance, and vibrancy.
Shoonya Meditation has long been regarded as a path to spiritual enlightenment. Through regular practice, individuals can cultivate a deep sense of self-realization, clarity, and inner transformation.
Step 4: Bhava Spandana Program
The word Bhava literally means “sensation.” Spandana can be loosely translated as “resonance.” Through powerful processes and meditations, the Bhava Spandana Program creates an intensely energetic situation, where individuality and the limitations of the five sense organs can be transcended, creating an experience of oneness and resonance with the rest of existence. It offers an exuberant experience of unbounded love and joy.
I have done a LOT of wellness retreats in this life but nothing has come close to the intensity or transformative capacity of Bhava Spandana. I can’t tell you what you do or why you do what you do when you are there but I can say that it was a complete overhaul of past karmic pain and unresolved emotional energy that was incredible and has had lasting changes that continue to evolve. I am so incredibly grateful to have been able to experience this.
These practices have tested my physical limits while bestowing a greater sense of inner peace and connectedness. They underscore the importance of mindfulness and starting each day with intention. I’m genuinely blown away by the level of bliss and wellbeing I have developed due to these practices changing my life. I have dealt with a ton of change over the last few months but my wellbeing has improved dramatically despite the challenges!
I currently commit 1 hour each morning for these practices and a few 15-minute meditations during the day. If I have time I try to do more practices in the evening. I've found a new rhythm to my days, one that leads to tranquility and presence. Hatha Yoga, with its slow, challenging physical holds and meditative component, is a powerful practice for mindfulness and heart rate variability training. All of this combined is a huge adjustment and takes serious discipline, but this is what leads to real, true transformation.
In addition to all of the diet and lifestyle modifications I mentioned in previous newsletters, I experimented with going off of coffee almost completely and limited all of my caffeine consumption. It’s reminded me of how much we turn to things outside of ourselves to feel better when really our challenge is to go within. I still drink matcha and the occasional coffee but I notice how much it stresses me out to consume a lot of caffeine.
I’m not a guru follower but I do believe Sadhguru has figured out something powerful here. Even though my last relationship ended, I was so inspired to learn from Sadhguru and the things I have learned from him have given me a level of joy, bliss, and wellbeing I didn’t realize was possible.
Stress Mastery: A Holistic Approach🧘♀️
In our continuous dance with life, stress, undeniably, plays a lead role. However, it's not the presence of stress but how we harmonize with it that shapes our wellbeing. My personal stress management toolkit is crafted from a blend of practices, emphasizing that no single approach fits all moments. Start with one thing at a time and continue to build.

My Favorite Longevity Recipe Lately 🍽️
Sharing a slice of life from Jackson Hole, allow me to introduce a favorite: Elk Backstrap with Chimichurri. This dish is a testament to nature's bounty and the simple pleasures of cooking with whole, nutrient-rich ingredients.
Ingredients for Chimichurri:
½ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
½ cup finely chopped parsley
3-4 cloves garlic, finely chopped or minced
2 small red chilies, finely chopped
¾ teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon coarse salt
Pepper to taste
Instructions:
Sear the elk backstrap with salt and pepper, keeping it rare inside.
Mix all chimichurri ingredients in a bowl. Let it sit to blend the flavors, ideally for over 2 hours.
Serve the seared backstrap with the chimichurri sauce.

Health Insurance… Decisions, Decisions! 🤔
Currently, I pay way too much for health insurance ($550/month with BCBS), so I’ve been digging into alternatives and considering CrowdHealth. I haven’t switched yet but I wanted to share with you why I am looking into this.
We know our system is broken and there are people out there just like me who are incredibly healthy and don’t feel like the system serves them. CrowdHealth is not insurance but it does some amazing things insurance doesn’t do… Namely, it enables you to pay an ultra-low monthly premium in exchange for joining a community of crowdfunders who support the community in helping to pay for health costs of other members.
Here’s how it works: you sign up, you join the community, and you pay a super low monthly premium. Let’s say you or another member gets sick or a baby is born and requires a NICU visit. The entire community contributes to paying for their claims (which get negotiated down by the company to a fraction of the cost…). For example, a NICU baby claim was negotiated down from $300,000 to $75,000). The more you contribute (say paying $100 here and there) to helping pay for the claims of the community, the more social credit you get in the community and the more likely others will pay for you if you get sick and need help. So far, all claims have been paid for by the community. I think this sounds awesome.

Disclaimer: For women out there, I spoke to the company about their benefits for fertility services as these are not currently covered. This might end up being a reason for some women not to sign up (insurance coverage for fertility services is pretty variable across the country) so I looked into this before I decided to sign up. I talked to my insurance provider about this and it turns out they do cover fertility services. I may stick with what I have for this reason but if I were a young, healthy male (as the majority of their members are), and I didn’t have to worry about fertility or contraception, I would definitely be considering this as an option for covering health care costs.
